The JEFFERSON salvaged sheepskin waistcoat is a boxy waist length fit longer and fuller than the EASY RIDER waistcoat. Handmade completely from salvaged sheepskin and vintage textiles. 

I select each sheepskin for its quality, individual look and feel. I then wash them without use of chemicals and use natural dyes if necessary to obtain a unique colour for each and every one.

This process is quite time consuming to revive and bring the quality of the wool back to life, but necessary and very much worth it to reuse such a beautiful textile.

This one is a natural medium pile sheepskin that can also be worn reversible with a beautiful vintage seventies hexagon quilt on the inside. The tones of the vintage cotton materials on this quilt are absolutely stunning, with pieces of Laura Ashley and Liberty prints. 

Finished off with a vintage navy blue velvet ribbon trim. When worn with the patchwork on the outside the fit is a little more snug due to the sheepskin pile as it is fairly dense.
