The EASY RIDER is a close fit bolero style waistcoat handmade completely from salvaged sheepskin and vintage textiles.
I select each sheepskin for its quality, individual look and feel. I then wash them without use of chemicals and use natural dyes to obtain a unique colour for each and every one.
This process is quite time consuming to revive and bring the quality of the wool back to life, but necessary and very much worth it to reuse such a beautiful textile.
Natural grey curly Nordic sheepskin, with vintage folk and Suzani appliqué. Lined with Borg fleece and finished off with double blanket stitch crochet in two colours, and a beautiful vintage 1930’s antler toggle and leather front fastening. Super cosy and great with dresses.
