The ELK is a snug fit bolero style panelled waistcoat with a low rounded flattering neckline, handmade completely from salvaged sheepskin and vintage textiles.
I select each sheepskin for its quality, individual look and feel. I then wash them without use of chemicals and use natural dyes to obtain a unique colour for each and every one.
This process is quite time consuming to revive and bring the quality of the wool back to life, but necessary and very much worth it to reuse such a beautiful textile.
Medium pile natural sheepskin blended with beautiful Mongolian sheepskin panels. Trimmed with vintage seventies block printed silk and a natural buckskin leather tie finishes the front.
