Handmade fitted waistcoat from vintage seventies tapestry textile. This fabulous piece of fabric was very ornate and of the period but it lacked lustre in a dingy dirty cream colour. I gave it a natural hand dye in a pale lilac which gave it a total lift and showed off the rich brown embroidered pattern beautifully. I crocheted the surrounding edges several times with contrasting colours and added soft suede fringing and vintage cowrie shells for a beautiful unique washed out beach style garment to wear.
