HOBO COLLAR handmade sheepskin and vintage Americana patchwork 

Handmade hobo collar from salvaged sheepskins.

I select each sheepskin for its quality, individual look and feel. I then wash them without use of chemicals and use natural dyes to obtain a unique colour for the ones I wish to dye.

This process is quite time consuming to revive and bring the quality of the wool back to life, but necessary and very much worth it to reuse such a beautiful textile.

These collars are great for all year round wear as they can offer an inviting warmth to a summer outfit of an evening, it’s surprising just how warm they are. 

This one is a natural short pile made with vintage Americana quilting and a woven wool tie.
